Project
The Werribee Mercy Hospital ED Expansion project aims to increase the capacity of the Werribee Mercy Hospital and Casey Hospital Berwick.
The project is being delivered as part of a $280 million investment to boost capacity of the emergency departments at Werribee Mercy Hospital and Casey Hospital Berwick.
The expansion will increase treatment spaces at the hospital from 33 to 67. This includes:
- four new resuscitation bays
- seven consultation / interview rooms
- eight fast-track bays
- four adult mental health spaces
- 16 short-stay beds
- 36 emergency care cubicles
- a behavioural assessment room, and
- separate but co-located paediatric and acute and short stay zones.
