Project
The proposed plans for Wellington’s new Central Library focus on enhancing the current library structure to create a distinct Wellington space that honours the stories of mana whenua and the history of Te Ngākau, while also ensuring the building remains relevant for our growing communities over the next 50 to 75 years.
The design visuals illustrate how the library will improve accessibility and foster a stronger connection with the Te Ngākau Civic Precinct by relocating the main entrance from the mezzanine level to the ground level.
